My Acne Fighting Super Heroes!

When you’re suffering a bad-skin week (or two), it’s important to know that someone’s got your back, er, face. For me, this terrific trio of acne fighters gets my skin back on track quickly, with minimal discomfort.

Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water: Not an acne product per se, but it does a great job of removing makeup so that my cleanser can really do it’s job. Great for foundation wearers, it clears away 90% of my makeup before I even wash. Now that I use this product, I wouldn’t even consider washing my face without removing makeup first.

Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel: I’ve mentioned this one before, but it is by far the most effective product I’ve ever used in treating my acne. I started with a sample and saw a significant improvement in less than a week. I use it once a day (at night) and have not experienced any of the drying effects that usually go with acne treatment. Overall, my skin is clearer, pores are lighter, and hormone breakouts are less intense (and less likely to form cysts).

Sephora Acne Fighting Mattifying Moisturizer: A new product to my arsenal, this one’s a total game changer. Hydrating without being greasy/heavy, and treats acne without drying. But most of all, it keeps my face matte all freaking day. I can not describe the love I have for this product right now. I used to blot oil off my face by 11 am- now I can go all day and still look fresh. An absolute must for those with oily skin.

I’m trying these for sure! Any idea if they will work in cystic pimples?!
